Finding the right person, and proving it.

Money gets separated from its owner for ordinary reasons: people move, marry, divorce, die, or close a business and forget an account. Reconnecting the two is research work, and in Iowa it requires a license.

Locating people

A record that lists a name and an address from 1994 is not a dead end — it is a starting point. We trace forward through address history, name changes, marriage and divorce records, business filings, and public records to find where a person is now.

This is the core of what a licensed private investigator does, and it is why a licensed agency is the right kind of company for this work.

Locating heirs

When the person named on a record has died, the property may pass to family — but the office holding it will not simply hand it over. Someone has to establish who is entitled and produce documents that prove it.

We research family relationships, identify heirs, executors, and administrators, and help assemble the record that supports the claim. We do not provide legal services. If a matter requires representation, we work with licensed legal counsel.

Business and dissolved-entity research

A company can be dissolved for twenty years and still be listed as the owner of an account. Establishing who now has authority to claim on its behalf means tracing corporate history: name changes, mergers, dissolutions, successors, and the officers or members with standing.

Records and documentation

Most claims are not denied because the money is not owed. They are denied because the file is incomplete. We identify what the reviewing office needs, obtain certified records where available, and assemble a claim package that answers the questions before they are asked.

Agreements are signed electronically through DocuSign. Documents requiring notarization can be notarized remotely, so you do not need to travel to sign anything.

Multiple states

We have experience obtaining records and completing documentation requirements across more than one state. Whether we can act on a specific claim depends on that state's requirements, and we will tell you at the outset whether we can.

What we do not do.

We do not provide legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. We do not represent anyone in court. We do not act for any government agency. If a matter requires legal representation, we work with licensed legal counsel.
